Many children have lost their parents during the recent earthquake. We have established this Fund to help these children safely continue their education. The Fund has been designed to collect donations from individuals, organizations and companies.
Additionally, children will receive the full amount of donation made by individuals. It is our aim to continue this active support until all the children whom we are supporting will graduate from high school. Your understanding and support will be invaluable for its success.

Framework:

Launching this organization was our primary aim; so we started as a private organization (non-incorporated voluntary organization), but we are carrying forward procedures to be approved as an NPO. We are also looking to collaborate with authorized specified nonprofit corporations in order to facilitate corporate donations.

Structure:

The organization has set up a selection committee to choose beneficiary children in need of our support. We will offer financial support to elementary school to high school students who have lost either or both of their parents, or whose parents suffered significant injuries in the earthquake. In order to save remittance fees, a certain amount of money will be credited to their legal guardian's account tri-monthly until July 2016. The Fund will discontinue the financial support when the beneficiary child graduates from or leaves high school, or finds an employment. Children will receive the full amount of donation made by individuals. With the prior agreement of the donator, part of the donations from organizations and companies will be allocated to cover administrative expenses.

Length of support:

We will collect and distribute funds until July 2016.
We will decide then whether to continue the Fund. Our current plan is to distribute Yen 20,000/month/student.

Applicant eligibility:

As a general rule, from June 1, 2011, we will accept the application from children who have been recommended by the head master of the child's school. In order to apply, please contact us at the URL or the address indicated below. The Fund has set up a selection committee to choose beneficiaries.
